They listened to their customers' requests for a shimmery twist, and thus, the Solo Shadow Sheen was born.
Aila Morin, Merit's CMO, reveals, "We wanted to recreate the glittery eyeshadow trend of the '90s but with a modern, wearable twist." Enter the Solo Shadow Sheen, a self-setting cream eyeshadow that offers a subtle, pearlescent glow. It's like a nod to those late-night club vibes, but refined for our grown-up selves.
And who better to showcase this new product than the iconic Christina Ricci, exuding both nostalgia and contemporary charm? Formulated with jojoba extract for smooth blending and all-day wear, the shadow also contains microfine pearls for a multidimensional sheen. It's a breeze to apply with fingers or a brush, ensuring a flawless finish.
Now, here's where it gets personal. As someone with oily eyelids, I'm picky about eyeshadows. They can't crease, and the finish must be just right. The Solo Shadow Sheen nails it! It's luminous without any glitter, and the buttery texture blends like a dream. I created a stunning look with three shades: Iris, a cool plum, as the base; Matchbook, a warm burgundy, for depth; and Glacé, a frosty rose, for highlighting.
